beurre バター butter

Can you guess what is missing on that shelf at the supermarket? Easy? It's in the title, you'll say. But have you ever imagine we would miss some products on the shelves in the stores same we are not in war.

This picture was taken in a small supermarket, 5mn from my home, in Japan. So yes, in Japan, we are missing butter already. Can you imagine this situation for a French? (I believe we love more butter than many other people in the world, indeed!)

Next to the place where should be the butter, there are so many kinds of margarine, but god don't make me eat that!

So Japan is missing butter but why? Because last year, they produced too much, so they decided to reduce the numbers of cows. And this year, they finally don't have enough milk!
Isn't it a such big strange world we are living in, news don't stop saying that we have not enough products to feed all humans. But farmers have to stop or reduce some productions or worse throw away some products, not to let the price get too cheap. Come on aren't they, the governements, mistaking about the number of consumers when they make stop some productions!

Anyway, I'm now doing my shopping in 4 different supermarkets to be able to find some butter, whichI used to pay 250yens for 200g of butter, but recently I have been paying 300 to 400yens for 160g or 200g of butter! And it's not imported butter. But we should get some soon, the governement promised!

But, many of my Japanese friends around me don't understand that I can get that desesperate for just some butter! In fact, they prefer margarine for most of them!

その現象は牛の数を減らした所為と言われていますね。変な世界ですね。世界中の人々を食べさせるのに、足りないけど、作る人の所を止めさせたりはするのが複雑すぎと思います。

今、私の毎日の生活のために４店を回ったりしないとバター見つかりませんは現実です。そこまでするかと思われる人もいるかもしれません。それはきっとバターの美味しさが分からない人ですね。

日本人が醤油なしで毎日生活しなけ行けないと同じです。想像できますか。

Avez-vous deviné ce qui manque sur l'étagère dans ce supermarché. Pas besoin de chercher très loins, vous me direz, la réponse est dans le titre. Eh oui, du beurre.

À côté de cet emplacement vide, on aperçoit pleins de boîtes qui peuvent ressembler à du beurre, mais détrompez-vous, car ce ne sont que de multiples sortes de margarine. Eh, oui, les japonais adorent la margarine. Pour beaucoup, il la préfère même au beurre!

Mais voilà, impensable, pour moi. Alors je dois faire en moyenne 4 magasins pour avoir une chance de trouver une plaquette de beurre. Celle-ci coûtait 250 yens à peu près pour une plaquette de 200g il y a quelques mois. Mais maintenant, il faut compter de 300 à 400 yens, pour une plaquette de 160 à 200g. Et donc, je ne peux pas non plus, trop me permettre d'acheter en stocks.

Peut-être que vous vous demandez pourquoi, nous n'avons plus assez de beurre au Japon, eh bien c'est une raison tout-à-fait logique économiquement parlant semblerait-il. L'année passée leur production de lait ayant été trop forte, le prix allait baisser, donc pour éviter ça, ils ont diminué le nombre de vaches. Et cette année, eh bien il n'y en a pas assez! AH, AH, AH! L'intelligence humaine.

En tout cas, je me vois mal sans mon pain-beurre!
