In fact, to protect the chopsticks we just put some oil, as oil already used for frying (they said it was just fine), but personnaly, I prefer to put some olive oil on. With a tissu you wipe them. And that's all, for the protection. So, you can't really put them in water. En Coree du Sud par exemple, elles sont toutes en feraille ou aluminium.
