After spending a few years in Japan and having lived in a completely different culture from my Western one, you don’t know who you are anymore: You have a new perspective on your own country, on your own education, on your own culture. You see yourself with a fresh eye. And you realise that you are now someone who is shocked by or is surprised by:

• The proportions in the plate
• The amazing variety of bread
• The non expensive prices of wines, cheese and fruits
• The dinners starting after 9 pm when invited
• The huge size of hypermarkets
• The importance of yoghurts
• The shops being closed on weekdays (especially on Mondays)
• The possibility to find some clothes that fit your shape
